Merck was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Merck has always believed that people deserve excellent representation.
Merck graduated from Lakeside High School in 1978 and Emory University in 1982 with a B.A. in Mathematics. He went on to attend Georgia State University Law School where he graduated in 1985 with the first graduating class. Merck was admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia in 1985.
Merck focuses on representing victims. He has litigated cases in both State and Superior Courts throughout the Metro-Atlanta area. He has also appeared in front of the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals on numerous appellate cases.
Membership and Activities
He is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia. Merck is licensed in all of Georgia’s Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts and is licensed in Georgia’s Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. In his spare time, Merck enjoys coaching, playing soccer, and teaching.
